I have severe Eczema, TSW and am on cyclosporine. The eczema mittens are such a life saviour. I bought the tencel material and it’s very breathable and stretchable. The mittens are cooling and comfortable to wear at night with aircon. I still scratch while wearing them but at least I won’t get open wounds. However, I still managed to remove them subconsciously while sleeping (probably it’s a me thing). Reuben suggested to wear them under my sleeping clothes to further prevent me from removing them while sleeping, I did not test that out as I need to wake up to make milk for my boy at night. For users who are like me subconsciously removing the mittens while sleeping, you might want to try out Reuben’s idea!

This mitten is a lifesaver for my son’s eczema problem; the design is simple but it works great, my son’s eczema condition have been improving since using this mitten, before that , it was an uphill battle , especially at night when he cannot control and started scratching even after all the precautionary and the lotion , somehow the night scratching will worsen the skin condition.

After reading several positive reviews, I decided to buy for my 83y.o. mother to reduce her scratching. She is suffering from eczema and had broken skins due to continuous scratching.
The quality of this product is true to what it claimed, material is good and comfortable. However it can be easily removed by wearer and is not suitable for seniors who lacks discipline.
Regretfully this product could not help my mother as her scratching did not reduce. As a result I have to get a refund for this mitten. Thank you.

the sleeve of the mittens dont hurt my skin when its extremely dry and flaky. didnt feel the roughness from the fabric pulling onto the dried skin halfway peeling off like my other clothes. even though its long sleeve and i sleep with the fan on not facing me directly, its not hot. the smittens are thick yet airy, it definitely relieves the itchiness without tearing my skin into big open wounds or creating more wounds.

I have tried antihistamine, bamboo gloves, moisturisers, and even restricting my diet, but the scratching at night is unavoidable. The subconscious scratching at night while sleeping has made my eczema (recovered ones), weep and bleed, with bloodstains all over my bedsheets.
The eczema mitten has helped me in minimizing my scratch as my eczema problem is no longer the flare but the scratch problem itself. Without it, my eczema would have worsen. No amount of drugs or creams can stop the itch while we’re deep in our sleep. These mittens will not cure the eczema but will minimise scratching so that the eczema wound can recover overtime.

The mittens arrived very timely just as my father had a flare in his Eczema. After cycles and cycles of flares for most of his lifetime the mittens are truly able to help break the itch scratch cycle. Although results are not to be expected immediately and more as a result of use overtime, I think the product is promising and delivers what it promises.
The only gripe we have for the product may be the cotton material being slightly warm. My father combatted this by turning up the aircon and also wearing a singlet underneath instead.

One slight improvement could be if it was more secure and tighter since I tend to take it out in the middle of the night subconsciously. I started using the mittens for about a week now. Before that I was using cotton gloves and tubifast bandages to cover up my wounds. What I like about the mittens is that it doesn’t come off during the night due to it’s design. The mittens fabric is also soft and doesn’t damage my skin when I scratch unconsciously at night. I scratch my face alot at night and with the cotton gloves, it still made my wounds open and bleed. But after a week of using the mittens, my face wounds have started to close up and heal. A downside to the mittens I would say is that it might be uncomfortable to wear at first, but eventually you will get used to it. Definitely would recommend this product .

my daughter scratched especially at night almost whole body except face. as it is getting too serious recently, we are bring her to see doctor for a steroid injection and phototherapy on 26 Jan, which may be one of the cause of her flare up revently and develop some blisters all over

Was excited to try them. Tried it and it did seem to work... but when i woke up in the morning and took them off, my skin was immediately itchy. I thought maybe if i used it longer, it would gradually itch less. But no difference.
Since it wasn't working, i decided to let Reuben know. I am not satisfied with the product.
Most likely not getting a refund. Maybe it works for others, but it doesn't work well for me.

Thank God I stumbled upon those mittens on Instagram! it really does help in my skin recovery as it reduces the scratching frequency and reduce the scratching damage. It’s a lot pricer than cotton gloves and bed restraints but it’s a lot more effective and I like that it provides protection to my arms. It will be one of my essentials!
